Europass Tickets

when travel to Europe, would it be cheaper to buy a europass, than buy point to point train tickets?
There isn’t enough information here to answer this accurately for you. It depends on how much train travel you’re doing, the type of trains and whether you can buy the tickets in advance to take advantage of the discounts available on individual tickets here. It is often cheaper to get point-to-point tickets. You need to be aware that with the railpasses, you still need to make reservations and pay a supplement fee for most high speed, international, and night trains that you take. See: http://www.eurail.com/eurail-reservations-supplements-domestic , http://www.eurail.com/eurail-reservations-supplements-international-trains , and http://www.eurail.com/eurail-reservations-night-trains . The slower regional trains which might require several train changes do not require a supplement.
There is a lot of excellent advice on rail travel here, and specifically on rail passes on this site: http://www.seat61.com/Railpass.htm
