does school in italy have holidays in some months?

like here in the uk we get 1 week holiday in one month and sometimes we get 2 weeks holiday like on april……….does schools in italy operates the same way??? need to know!

Hi,
our schools close during the summer from the end of June to the beginning of September. Every administrative region has its own calendar.
They also close on Christmas holidays from 21st-2nd of December to the 7th of January.
Easter weekend is another short holiday.
Then we have the one day national celebrations like: 1st of May, 2nd of June, 1st of November.
